Exposed Gay Men In Morocco Facing Death Threat

Almost 100 gay men are facing death threat after being exposed in Morocco. The men were sheltering in a home due to the Corona lockdown.

The men were identified through location-based meeting app. This came about after Naoufal Moussa or Sofia Talouni, who was insulted because of her sexual orientation urged women in Morocco to download gay apps used by men so that they could show the hypocrisy of the Moroccan society.

After her announcement on her Instagram account, fake accounts were created on the apps which lead to the exposure of the gay men. Their photos were shared online which led to their arrest.

In Morocco it is a criminal offense to engage in same-sex activity. Here gays live in fear of death due to the harsh criticism from society.
